Reiki Healing Art Varies Among Individual Practitioners

The different techniques of Reiki healing art can be as unique as the individuals who practice them. There are no hard and fast rules to Reiki energy healing, although some Masters claim that their way is "best". You can learn all of the different techniques that you want, but you are the one who decides what is "right" for you.



One Master tells a story about visiting another practitioner who used crystals and it did not "feel" right to her. Crystals can be empowered with the energy that is Reiki. They can be part of Reiki healing art. But, they are only necessary if the practitioner "feels" they are necessary.



Symbols, signs, specific hand positions and movements may all be used during a Reiki energy healing. Or, a practitioner may use only his mind to heal himself or another. The real power does not lie in the "props" that we use to heal. The real power lies within us and around us.



Anyone can learn the Reiki healing art. All it takes is acceptance of and understanding of the infinite energy that is called Reiki by some, but has many different names in many different cultures.



Learning the Reiki healing art, just as with any art form, is a journey. You follow a path as long as you feel that you are going in the right direction. It is possible to become lost, but if you allow your own intuition to be your guide, you will eventually find your way.



You may need to read different viewpoints, attend different classes or visit different practitioners. You may need to do your own research. Some Masters have found that their journeys led them to Japan, where they could see and "feel" the places where the practice originated.



But, it is not necessary to travel or attend seminars to begin to use Reiki energy healing in your own life. You can learn all that you need to know from a book, in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace. If you feel that you want more knowledge, you can attend classes or travel the world. The choice is yours.



You may become discouraged on your journey, but don't give up. Particularly if you are discouraged because another "Master" tells you that you are "wrong" or the way you have learned is wrong. If it is "right" for you, it is right.
